Remembrance

This painting was born as the war in the Ukraine was foremost in our lives.  I felt at a loss to understand the carnage.  White poppies are the symbol for peace and to remember the fallen. I wish peace for everyone.

This is a large atmospheric abstract painting demanding the center of attention.  She glows with an underpainting  of rubbed gold and textured teal- letting the white of the translucent petals draw you in.  Remembrance is sold without a frame.
